Chouteau Elementary has been chosen as a Title I Academic Achievement Award winner. The school recently received a letter from State Superintendent Sandy Garrett announcing its success along with a check for $36,800.
The Title I Recognition and Awards Program recognizes schools based on the number of consecutive years the schools have made adequate yearly progress or for making the greatest gains in closing the achievement gaps between student groups. Schools receiving the award must use the funds for instructional purposes to improve reading and math programs for students.
Tulsa Public Schools would like to congratulate Chouteau for its hard work and outstanding accomplishments
